The Bradwell B project takes the risks posed by Coronavirus very seriously, and over the course of the past few months has taken a number of steps to ensure the safety of staff, contractors and members of the public. These steps have included cancelling our face-to-face engagement events, and closing our London offices, with staff working from home where possible.
Some essential ecological, marine and geological surveys will be continuing at the Bradwell B site under strict conditions and in adherence with the UK Government’s requirements. Extensive measures have been implemented to ensure the health and safety of our staff and the public, and only where the work has been deemed essential and where it is practical to implement these measures, will work take place.
The Bradwell B team continues to review and monitor the situation closely for any changes in advice, guidance or regulations. If necessary, we will postpone survey works where UK Government measures or our own safety reviews indicate that this is the best course of action.
During this difficult time we are grateful for the support from all of the emergency services and other key workers, and we have therefore made donations of protective equipment to the Essex Coronavirus response and recovery effort, and where possible will look to provide further support.
