The Bradwell B project takes the risks posed by Coronavirus very seriously, and throughout the ongoing pandemic has taken a number of steps to ensure the safety of staff, contractors and members of the public. The majority of our staff are working from home where possible, and whilst we are continuing to engage with stakeholders and the wider community, this work has shifted to take place online and by phone rather than in-person.
Some essential ecological, marine and geological surveys have continued at the Bradwell B site under careful conditions and in adherence with the UK Government’s requirements. Extensive measures have been implemented to ensure the health and safety of our staff and the public, and only where the work has been deemed essential and where it is practical to implement these measures, will work take place. The Bradwell B team continues to review and monitor the situation closely for any changes in advice, guidance or regulations.
During this difficult time we are grateful for the support from all of the emergency services and other key workers, and we have made donations of protective equipment to the Essex Coronavirus response and funding to Maldon CVS to support the community. Where possible, we will look to provide further support.
